Slack is growing and busting at the seams. They needed to open an east-coast office. Naturally, the City Of Toronto wanted that to be here so they hired us to work alongside their internal peoples to develop an effective communications piece to send down to San Francisco in hopes of compelling the tech company to open up shop here in Toronto.
We created a parody of one of Slack's explainer vids and swapped their supers with ones created by us and our client. The video was made using motion graphics and featured true stats about the benefits of doing business in Toronto and the vibrant communities we have living here.
Slack has now moved to Toronto and thus created 145 jobs for people living in the area. The City Of Toronto was so happy with the turnout that Mayor John Tory personally thanked us on his twitter feed.
